Warm welcome - Glad you found us here ♡
There are a lot of beautiful fabric stores in Finland, especially catering to families with children and those looking for clothing fabrics. I felt that something was missing. The idea was born of a place where you could find easy-to-sew, beautiful fabrics for the home and crafts, unique patterns, all in one online store.
We use European printers to print our own designs and we source interesting fabrics from responsible domestic and European wholesalers. The collection is complemented by fabrics made by Indian artisans. Each fabric is made responsibly and with respect for the environment. The collection emphasizes small batches and unique designs, offering the opportunity to find something special and sustainable.
This is a one-woman adventure for now, where I do everything from purchasing to marketing and packaging. I do this with a big heart and a little twinkle in my eye. The collection will grow little by little as the company grows and I would love to hear what kind of projects you would like to sew and what kind of fabrics you dream of. Together we can make this a fabric heaven that looks like ours.
See you at the events!
Although online shopping is often a bit faceless, I want to try to do things differently. You'll see me at fairs, markets and pop-up events whenever possible. And if you know of a good event where you can touch fabrics and see colors live, feel free to let me know and I'll come running.
Four seams and you're done!
Artemon's story began with the eponymous upholstery shop, a craftsman's workshop that still operates on a small scale. I've always loved the feel and handling of coarse, thicker upholstery fabrics, and that's where the idea for a very specific kind of fabric store came from.
I don't think everything you sew needs to be difficult and the fabrics are silky. There can also be equally rewarding, easy projects that bring equal joy to your life and a sense of accomplishment. You know, new kitchen towels or curtain rods made from a fabric you like, easy to sew. That's the feeling I want to convey with my own work and fabrics.
With warm thoughts,
Nina from Artemo
