Why is 50 cm the minimum order for fabric?
A minimum order of 50 cm guarantees that you will receive a piece that is as uniform as possible, where the pattern repeats effectively and which you can cut without the usable width narrowing unnecessarily at the edges.
To ensure your piece is straight, we always leave a small bevel/straightness allowance. The shorter the piece, the proportionally larger portion of it goes into this allowance.
Although every order is valuable to us, it is good to understand that the work stages and the time it takes to complete an order are practically the same regardless of the length of the piece. By avoiding very small strips, we save both work time and material. This keeps prices fair and reduces unnecessary packaging and material waste. ♻️
The minimum order quantity for upholstery fabrics is 1 m / color / pattern.
Fabric quality and care
Why can the shade of the fabric differ from the picture in the online store?
Product images in the online store are always indicative. We photograph products in real, even light, keep the process consistent, and minimize image processing, but different devices and screen settings (phone, computer, tablet) will reproduce colors differently.
Although digital printing generally maintains very consistent tones from batch to batch, there may be slight color variations between different production batches.
Different materials, bindings, printing machines and dyes also affect the final result. This is why the same pattern may look slightly different on cotton, viscose, linen or polyester, even if they are made from the same file.
If you are wondering about the shade or are debating between two options, feel free to ask or order a sample. We are happy to help!
Why are the care instructions for some fabrics very detailed?
We want the fabric to stay beautiful for as long as possible. Different materials and printing techniques behave differently, so we give more detailed instructions for some of the qualities to ensure that the colors, surface and dimensions are better preserved in everyday washing.
In digital printing, the base fabric is white and the color remains on the surface of the fabric with the help of a binder. Therefore, especially dark, uniform color areas are more sensitive to abrasion, high-speed spinning and long washing programs, which can wear down the surface even in the first wash. Therefore, especially for these fabrics, we emphasize in the instructions that the first wash should be done separately and loosely, with a short delicate wash program and the lowest possible spin speed. It is also important to use a mild and liquid detergent (no bleach or optical brighteners).
For hand-printed Indian fabrics, using salt in the pre-treatment fixes the colors of the fabric, prevents the colors from spreading, and improves color fastness in the future.
What should I do if there are unevenness or errors in my fabric?
We do our best to ensure that you receive a beautiful and intact fabric. Still, sometimes small manufacturing errors get through, even though the fabric is checked both at the printer and when we cut it. Examples of such minor defects are color bleeding, individual specks of dirt, small holes or small unevenness in the print. This is possible in all textiles, including clothing.
In digitally printed fabrics, the color remains on the surface of the fabric. If the base fabric is rough or has an uneven surface, it can cause the color to “break” in the form of tiny white dots. The intensity of the phenomenon depends on the quality of the fabric. This is part of the digital printing technique . But if there is a significant amount of dotting on your new fabric, please let us know before washing or cutting the fabric.
Indian hand-printed fabrics are made by printing one section at a time by hand. The fabrics are unique, the colors are sprawling and the print result can vary even in a small piece. This is part of the nature of block print fabrics and it is good to know when ordering the fabric.
Always remember:
Please check the fabric before pre-washing and before cutting.
If you notice an error, please mark it, take a picture and contact us. We will always do our best to help and find a suitable solution for you.
